IADFAC has a specially designated residue analysis laboratory in which trained personnel carry out pesticide residue analysis. The latest international methods are followed for extraction and estimation.

The residue lab is a state-of-the-art facility for heavy metal detection is equipped with a highly sensitive Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer with Graphite furnace and Hydride Generator capable of analyzing all the metals in foods as mentioned in PFA and water as per BIS.
